What They Do?

my AFK (formerly Action For Kids) support disabled children and young people to live independent lives through the provision of specialist mobility equipment and life skills coaching. They work with young people aged 14-19 with special education needs to ensure they gain the most from their school experience and that their voices are heard.

For students no longer in full time education, my AFK teach practical life skills such as managing money and living independently as well as providing full time job coaches who organise training, work placements and potentially paid employment.

Through their national mobility equipment project, my AFK also provide any mobility equipment not covered by the NHS for children and young people up to the age 26.

How do we help?

The Cyril & Eve Jumbo Charitable Trust starting working with my AFK in 2015 and have now committed to supporting their job coaching programme for a further 3 years.
