What They Do?
The Connection at St-Martin-in-the-Fields is a homeless charity based in central London next to Trafalgar Square, which strives to help homeless people to move on from homelessness and stay off the streets.
They provide a range of specialist services including; a day and a night centre which offers a canteen, in-house NHS and activity workshops as well as short term emergency accommodation, a Street Outreach Team and a Workspace Programme.
The Outreach Team conducts 20 shifts out on the street every week, they partner with mental health professionals, substance misuse advisors and ex-homeless people, to check on the wellbeing of rough sleepers, supporting and facilitating their access to treatment services and accommodation.
The Workspace Programme provides a range of services designed to provide clients with access to the training, education and accreditations that will improve their chances of securing and maintaining employment.
