What They Do?
Tzedek are operating a ‘School for Life’ project in Ghana training teachers, school Heads, supervisors and regional Educational Departments in resource use and child-centred, mother-tongue methodologies to improve the quality of primary school education.
Unfortunately, thousands of children in Ghana are held back by poor education; four out of every five adults are illiterate. Many lack the basic skills to be able to hold down any but the lowest job or support themselves in agriculture and business. By giving these children the most basic skills, the charity strives to make a difference to their entire lives.
The Schools for Life project is supporting some 40,000 Ghanian primary school children.
How do we help?
The Cyril & Eve Jumbo Charitable Trust have been working with Tzedek since 2014 and are currently committed to working on their Schools for Life project over two years.
