NALA works hand in hand with communities in regions Ethiopia to combat poverty related diseases through WASH initiatives, health and psychosocial support – primarily in areas where infrastructure has deteriorated due to war conflict.
Their unique approach is based on local ownership, working with the community to identify blocks to good health, explore the root causes of disease and implement solutions that record a measurable reduction in disease.
HOW DO WE HELP?
CEJCT started working with NALA in 2024 in support of disease prevalence community health project in Adwa, Tigray, Ethiopia. The work is to restore water infrastructure in many schools, where students are infected with intestinal parasites, and educate kids and school personnel on important health knowledge.
